LA County Sheriff Jim McDonnell Announces New Executive Team

Sheriff McDonnell introduces his new Undersheriff, the first since 2013, as well as his new Executive team and details the reforms, milestones and direction of the LASD going forward. Sheriff Jim McDonnell said "During the past two years, I have invested considerable time in getting to know our Department executives. I have been assessing their decision-making skills, learning about their leadership capabilities and deciding how to build the best possible leadership team for the future. This was time well spent.

Through these observations, I am now proud to announce my new executive leadership team, which will be in place in early 2017.
The new team will consist of the following personnel:

o Undersheriff—Anthony La Berge
o Assistant Sheriff, Patrol Operations—Bobby Denham
o Assistant Sheriff, Countywide Services Operations—Eddie Rivero
o Assistant Sheriff, Custody Operations—Kelly Harrington
o Assistant Sheriff, Administrative and Technical Support Operations-Pending selection of a Chief Financial Officer

The bar has been set high for these individuals.

They understand that the public wants and deserves leaders who can maintain accountability, high morale and public trust all at the same time. They understand how to foster pride about service and safety without sacrificing either."
