33 People Arrested during DUI Checkpoint In Lancaster Jul 6, 2011
Personnel from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Risk Management Bureau’s Traffic Services Detail conducted a DUI/DL Checkpoint on July 1, 2011 as part of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s commitment to public safety. This checkpoint was one of many that have been or will be conducted throughout the year in Lancaster. The location of Friday’s checkpoint was on Avenue J Street at Division Street. The goal of the DUI/DL Checkpoint was removing impaired drivers and to bring awareness to the public of the dangers of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Screened 1352 Vehicles
Arrested 3 DUI Suspects
Arrested 1 Misdemeanor Warrant Suspect
Issued 5 Citations
Impounded 23 Vehicles for 30 days
29 Unlicensed and Suspended Drivers were Arrested and Sent to Court
