Victim Assistance
If you have been a victim of a crime and need assistance, you can call our toll free number, (800) 380-3811. A Victim Services Representative will speak with you and determine how we can assist you. Program services are provided free of charge, and there is no legal citizenship requirement to receive assistance.

211 is an easy to remember three-digit dialing code that enables a caller to access information about more than 28,000 health and human service programs throughout Los Angeles County 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is TTY accessible. 211 LA County, formerly known as INFO Line of Los Angeles, has been providing these services since 1981.

The County has issued a comprehensive guide to emergency preparedness to help residents better prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters that affect the region. The goal is to provide tips that will assist residents become self-sufficient after a disaster.

Helping citizens in Los Angeles County recover from mudlsides and fires
Los Angeles County has a new website providing resources for fire recovery and mudslide information. Among the information included is how to obtain building and transportation permits, mud and debris flow forecast, road closures, safety preparedness, assistance programs, and shelter contacts.
Alert LA County
Los Angeles County has implemented an emergency mass notification system to contact County residents and businesses via recorded phone messages, text messages and e-mail during emergencies.
